UNA REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA A 10 AÑOS DEL PLAN CEIBAL EN URUGUAY

Resumen

El objetivo de este trabajo es contribuir con una revisión sistemática de las investigaciones académicas sobre la incidencia que ha tenido el programa One Laptop per Child (OLPC) en la enseñanza y el aprendizaje en Uruguay, y que han sido publicadas en las bases Web of Science, Scopus y ERIC durante la última década. Dichas investigaciones señalan que la mayoría de los niños escolares y liceales no usan las laptops dentro del aula y que los maestros y profesores no han modificado sus prácticas de enseñanza. También indican la necesidad de enseñar a los escolares a discernir entre la información a la que acceden a través de internet. Por otro lado, se comprueba el aporte de la introducción de las laptops del programa OLPC en la disminución de la divisoria de acceso digital en Uruguay: el 11% de los hogares accede a una computadora gracias al Plan Ceibal (Uruguay, 2016b).

A SYSTEMATIC REVISION AFTER 10 YEARS OF OLPC IN URUGUAY

Abstract

The aim of this article is to contribute to a better understanding of the impact that olpc programme may have had after ten years of its introduction in the Education system of Uruguay. With that purpose we conducted a systematic revision of the academic research published from 2007 to 2017 and indexed in Web of Science, Scopus y ERIC databases. Research points out that most students do not use the laptops at schools, and that high schools and teachers have not changed their teaching practices. Besides, research conducted at schools underlies the need of implementing an information literacy programme. At the same time, data shows the impact that OLPC has had in narrowing the digital divide in Uruguay: 11% of households have only an OLPC computer at home (Uruguay, 2016b).
